Speaker Information

Presentation length: Our typical presentation slot is 30 minutes, with 20-25 minutes of your presentation and 5-10 minutes of question and answer time.  Timing is somewhat flexible so don't be worried if you go over slightly.

Audio/Visual: LRIG will supply a LCD projector and screen, podium with microphone and sound system, and laser pointer.  If you need other equipment, such as an overhead projector, VCR, easels/poster board/markers, slide projector, etc., please let us know.

Most presenters use their own laptop, however we can provide a laptop with Powerpoint and CD drive for you to use if necessary.  In this case, please let the meeting captain know that you will require a laptop and make arrangements to bring a CD / USB memory stick, or preferably send the presentation to us prior to the meeting.

Abstracts: If you have not done so, please send us as soon as possible your presentation title, abstract, bio, and preferred name / professional title format for the web page and meeting notices.

Meeting Setup: In the hour prior to the start of the meeting presentations, we will have someone available to test the hookup of your laptop and presentation with the audio/visual equipment.  This is highly recommended!  Just find a LRIG officer prior to the meeting and we'll test the equipment.

Presentation Archive: LRIG archives presentations <https://www.lab-robotics.org/meeting_presentations.htm> whenever possible, to serve our members who cannot attend the meeting and to add to the community's knowledge base.  You can help us tremendously in this effort by sending us the presentation prior to or just after the meeting, and by attaining the necessary legal approval from your company for publishing on the web.
