Dear Vendors,
The SouthEast chapter of the Laboratory Robotics Interest Group will hold its annual Vendor Show on February 21, 2001 at the Sheraton Imperial in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. The exhibition will start at 12pm and run until 7pm with setup starting at 9am. Booths will be 10’x 8’ and include drapes, piping, table, 2 chairs, and electricity. Exhibitors will be assigned booth spaces on a first come (payment received), first served basis (booth assignments will be posted on the LRIG SE web site after Feb. 5). Priority booth locations will be given to food sponsors and founding sponsors, then in the order of payment received. Those vendors wishing to be food sponsors will receive booth assignment in proximity to the food tables. There are 14 booths designated for food sponsors. Booths are $500 and food sponsorship is an additional $500. There is a possibility that a limited number of second booths will be available. Please indicate if you would be interested in an additional booth. Currently we have approximately 75 vendors requesting booth space of which 44 vendors are confirmed (check received). We have 10 vendors who are also food sponsors leaving 4 available food sponsorships. A waiting list for interested vendors will be maintained. All vendors requesting booth space and sent invoices need to pay fees by Feb. 1st. If you have requested a booth space and have not paid by Feb. 1st your booth space will be released to those requesting a second booth space and to the waiting list. All remaining booths not paid for by Feb 1st will be reserved only on a payment-received basis.

The Sheraton is offering discount room rates to those attending the meeting. Contact the Sheraton directly for information and let them know you are with the LRIG meeting.
Shipping Equipment:
If you plan on exhibiting large (over 100 lbs.) pieces of equipment please contact Aimee Uhrig at Southern Exhibition Services 1-800-882-7469 to arrange delivery of your equipment to the hotel.
The hotel will accept boxes of convention materials not more than three (3) days prior to the convention. To ensure proper identification of materials, boxes must be labeled with the appropriate convention/group name, on-site meeting planner (LRIG_SE, Kristin Cuthrell, Feb.21, 2001) and meeting date(s) on the outside carton.
A $5.00 per box fee will apply to cover receipt storage and handling. This fee should be paid directly to the Sheraton. Individual boxes or crates in excess of 100 lbs. will not be accepted. Shipping, storage and handling of these items need to be arranged through a drayage company (see above).
Any boxes requiring shipping at the end of the convention can be shipped through the Sheraton business center providing they are packaged, labeled and made ready for shipping. The hotel or LRIG does not accept any responsibility or liability for boxes or materials left on the property.
