Currently 1 of our projects is to develop a virtual environment using a VR glove to aid/teach people how to handle laboratory equipment. Using VR the user can be taught in a safe environment. In relation to robotics VR can also be used to control a robot remotely. A VR model of the robot and the environment can be created and the robot can be controlled by someone from a PC. I worked on a project similar to this and was just interested to hear of anyone who is doing anything like this.
