Automated Physical Testing

I am interested in locating other researchers with programs or experience in the automation of physical testing/screening assays. I am involved in a physical testing program associated with topical skin care products research at a major corporate lab. We are attempting to adapt automated or semi-automated materials testing protocols, (i.e., stress-relaxation, compression, friction, tack) to study the effects of topically applied actives or formulations on skin or representative artificial skin substrates. Information on successful adaptation/automation of these sort of methods, vendors/suppliers of relevent instrumentation, or integrators with a background in these or similar research areas would be appreciated.
