I work for
AstraZeneca in the UK, in Analytical Development. In 2001 I was tasked to
introduce automated dissolution equipment into the department, to replace a
number of old semi-automated systems. After determining user’s requirements,
reviewing commercially available systems and consulting with many groups
within the global AZ community, it was decided to purchase a Sotax AT70smart.
The system was installed in July 2001. Since then I have been increasingly
involved in dissolution testing and have gained a lot of experience with the
Sotax AT70smart in particular.
Today I will
talk about validation considerations when transferring methods to the Sotax
AT70smart and some of our experiences with the system.
